The Plague

Congrats to Linda, Lauren's Nana, for correctly guessing the disease. Her guess was "bubonic plague", which is only half-right. It's actually septicemic plague, but they're both caused by the same bacterium, so close enough.

That blackening of the flesh? Yep, that's why the called it the Black Death.

i was so gonna guess that. j/k.. my guess was leprosy which i knew was absolutely wrong, so i didn't even bother guessing.

its actually gangrene, the death of tissues. which causes blackening of fingers or toes

Thanks for the correction, monmarfori! Someone better tell the CDC and the AMA to stop posting incorrect pictures in their literature about how identify plague!
